VINELink and IVSS are custody-notification tools, not dependable public photo archives. The Bureau of Prisons locator and federal agency records have their own scope. A federal “Released” result does not prove what image Rockwall County holds.

The OCV Rockwall County TX Sheriff app is real. Its official Google Play listing promises public-safety communication, news, interactive features, crime reporting, and tips. It does not promise an inmate search, recent-release list, or mugshot module. That negative finding should be preserved until the installed app is manually inspected.
The official store description is visible in the captured app listing below. It should not be expanded into features the developer did not advertise.
The app may still help with Sheriff news or contact, but the public-information request remains the supported photo route for a released county detainee.

TDCJ Photos Are State Records
When Rockwall’s release audit says “Released to DOC,” the county event is a transfer into state custody. Search the official TDCJ offender system by TDCJ number or SID when possible. Result pages may include an offender image when law and system availability permit. A missing image should not be filled from an unofficial mirror.
The TDCJ image belongs to the state corrections record. It may have been taken at a different time and facility than the Rockwall booking photo. Label it accurately. The result’s status and projected date also concern TDCJ custody, not the earlier county event. To reconstruct the sequence, pair the Sheriff audit with the state intake or status record.
